HFW - Horace Francis Wogan, known to his family as Paddy, was a very keen researcher into Wogan family history for much of his life. Born in 1906 he spent much of his life on the move, initially in the Army and latterly in the Diplomatic service. He eventually settled in New Zealand and wrote regularly to many of the Wogan families in the UK. Many of us have letters he wrote to members of our families, and these are usually full of information. Regrettably we do not know the primary sources for much of his information, nor do we have access to his original papers.
RGW - Glyn Wogan assiduously researched the modern Welsh branch of the family tracing it back to the late 18th Century.
DJPC - Dorothy Jean Poth Clark researched the ancestry of a US branch back via New Orleans to Dunboyne, Ireland in the late 18th Century.
