According to Francis Green in WWHR vol VII, the date of Mary's christening is not completely decipherable in the original records and he shows it as Nov 162?.

However the event falls between sisters who were christened in Mar 1620 and June 1623. If we assume standard 40 week pregnancies and christenings soon after birth then both Nov 1620 and Nov 1622 are not possible, and I have therefore assumed Nov 1621 is the correct date - KJW.

Individual: Sage Wogan

Parental family: Ethelred Wogan and ??? Williams

Sex: Female

Birth:

Identification Number: TE19

Note: The daughter ofRev Ethelred went to "Aunt Price" on the death of her father.

Miss Violet A. Simpson, the writer of an article on the daughter of William Wogan in the Cornhill Magazine for 1901, in a letter to the present writer states that there were Prices living at this period at Saintfield, co. Down, Ireland, one of whom (Nicholas Price, who died in 1742) was MP for Lisburne, and "Aunt Price" may very likely have belonged to that family.

Francis Green WWHR Vol VII p14

Sage Wogan of Molleston is mentioned in the will of her brother John (S18) proved proved in London on 1 Feb 1698.

Francis Green WWHR Vol VII p16

Since John (S18) has been identified as the probable eldest son of Rev Ethelred (S16) it follows that Sage is probably the daughter.
